Gill has been practising yoga since 1983 and began teaching in 1998. She has attended many workshops with senior Ashtanga teachers Peter Sanson and John Scott, and travelled to India to attended classes with the late Sri K. Pattabhi Jois. Gill gained her teachers training certification with Donna Farhi and foundation and intermediate qualifications with Nicky Knoff. She also qualified in Birthlight pregnancy with the Birthlight international association, completed teachers pregnancy training with Nicky Knoff, and gained her I.Y.T.A diploma within New Zealand. Gill is a qualified practising nurse and qualified non-practising midwife.

Wendy began her yoga journey in 1990 while pregnant and has been practising some sort of yoga ever since. In 1999 she received her first certification in Pilates through Leslee Bender, owner of The Pilates Coach in Reno Nevada, before attaining studio certification with the PhysicalMind institute in New York and Wellington. Wendy studied yoga with Nicky Knoff in Cairns and is certified to teach Level 1 Discovery and Level 2 Foundation yoga. She also attends workshops with Peter Sanson and others and is working towards Level 2 Vinyasa Krama certification with Matthew Sweeney.
Wendy’s classes bring awareness to the breath, body and mind. This awareness helps to bring about change and create a peaceful, joyful and empowered existence.

Alecia began her yoga journey in 2001 in Canada. She’s always been involved in sports, so yoga is her way of restoring and keeping her body balanced, physically and mentally. Her passion for yoga and desire to deepen her practice led her down the road to teaching. She recently completed her 200 hour teacher training certification with Jennifer Allen at Jayayoga, which promotes safe, sustainable yoga for life.
Alecia’s classes will contain a variety of pranayama (breathwork), asana (movement), and meditation (mindfulness) in order to contain a fully nourishing experience.

Claudette began her yoga journey in 1993. She has attended classes at the Yoga Room with teachers Gill, Judy Colbert and Wendy Glasgow. Claudette started attending Anahata Yoga Retreat in 2017. She attended a Kriya workshop with Swami Muktibodhananda and later went on to study Yoga Nidra, Basic Breathing Methods & Restorative Yoga with Swami Karma Karuna & Sannyasa Atmabhava and has fulfilled the requirement for Instructing Yoga Nidra (Relaxation), Breathing Techniques and Restorative Yoga Practices. Claudette has a B.A in Visual Arts and Design, is an active member of Te Roopu Raranga Whatu o Aotearoa (National Weavers Association of New Zealand).and Toi Hauiti (Te Aitanga a Hauiti Artists Collective). She believes in keeping healthy and happy, is a keen gardener and animal friend.
