A 1-hour guided breathing (pranayama) and Full Moon meditation with Rebecca

The energy of the Full Moon is powerful. When the moon is full, its gravitational pull on the earth’s oceans is so strong that it creates high tides. Likewise for us humans – consisting of around 70% water – the energy of the Full Moon brings strong mental energy and often heightened emotions.

In yoga, the energy of the Full Moon is likened to the end of the inhalation when the force of prana (the vital life force energy) is the greatest. This is an expansive, upward moving force that makes us feel energetic and emotional, but not well grounded. Meditation, breath work (pranayama) and grounding yoga poses such as child’s pose, standing forward bend or even just a simple squat can help balance out extra energy found around a Full Moon.
